When you open the lid, all the electronic systems (compressor, pump & thermostat) will get disconnected automatically. A "click" sound and the thermostat turning off provides feedback that the cold plunge has been de-energized [PATENT PENDING].
NOTE: WE STILL URGE CUSTOMERS TO PLEASE UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE PLUNGING & consider our safety system disconnect as a redundant safety measure rather than fully relying on it.
GFCI Protected (UL certified GFCI)
Detects any sort of electric fault and opens the circuit in less than 30 milliseconds (0.03 seconds)
*Before using your Box, make sure to disconnect the unit from the plug.
We are not liable for your safety: Our safety system disconnect is made of UL approved components however it has not been third party tested. Although the system does de-energize the hot and neutral wire fully, we still must urge everyone to please unplug unit from the wall.
In the rare event that any of the safety systems crafted my BoxPlunge fails please call us immediately and don't use the cold plunge until fixed. We'll provide free labor & parts.
